| Although literature on wall paining conservation is available in plenty and a voluminous book has also been written on the subject, a manual for wall painting conservators was lacking. The present instruction manual on wall paining conservation authored by Dr Tej Singh and Atul Kumar Yadav of NRLC, has been written in a lucid language for the use of practicing conservators. While the manual provides step-by-step instructions for conservators to carry out conservation of wall paintings, the fundamentals of causes of deterioration, diagnostic investigations and the conservation treatment, to the extent a conservator is expected to be conversant with, have been incorporated in the manual. |
